Audi

Audi was established in Zwickau, Germany, by August Horch in 1909, taking its name from the Latin translation of his surname. The brand's four-ring emblem originated in 1932 with the merger of four regional carmakers - Audi, DKW, Horch, and Wanderer - into Auto Union. Headquartered in Ingolstadt, Germany, Audi built much of its modern reputation around all-wheel-drive engineering, introducing its Quattro system in 1980, which reshaped rally racing and road-car traction standards.

A core subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group since 1966, Audi maintains a broad lineup spanning traditional sedans, Avant wagons, and Q-series SUVs, alongside high-performance RS models. The company is actively shifting its vehicle development toward battery-electric architectures under the e-tron badge as it prepares to transition away from pure internal combustion powertrains.
